Awarded ‘Walkers are Welcome’ status, Much Wenlock is a must visit place for walking enthusiasts. The Wenlock Walks are right on our doorstep, with 5 walks which are all less than 5km making them ideal for beginners, young and old explorers, and all abilities.
The walks are maintained in partnership Shropshire Council, Shropshire Hills AONB Partnership and Wenlock Footpaths Volunteers, ensuring you can explore the surrounding areas with ease.
Cyclists are also well catered for in Shropshire, with Much Wenlock featuring in a number of cycle routes. With trails on the Wenlock Edge, around Ironbridge and further afield, the Gaskell Arms is the perfect place to stop for a break, or indeed to stay after a long day of cycling.
For visitors that are perhaps looking to escape the winter weather, there are lots of events taking place in the local area including the Charles Darwin Festival, taking place in Shrewsbury from 12th to 15th February.
